The Ayn Rand Lexicon: Objectivism from A to Z is a reference work compiled from Ayn Rand’s writings and statements and edited by Harry Binswanger. Organised alphabetically, it brings together passages concerning roughly 400 topics, allowing readers to locate Rand’s views on concepts ranging from reason, knowledge and morality to individual rights, capitalism, art and psychology.

The volume presents Objectivism through Rand’s own words rather than as a continuous philosophical argument written specifically for the book. Its entries draw material from different works and contexts, placing related passages together under thematic headings. The project was begun under Rand’s supervision and subsequently completed by Binswanger. As a result, the book functions primarily as a guide to Rand’s terminology and positions across metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, politics and aesthetics, while also covering subjects in economics, history and psychology. It is designed for consultation rather than sequential reading.
